La Llave’s coriander can be found in the form of seeds, leaves, or powder. It comes from the round, light brown seeds of the Coriandrum sativum plant. Their size can vary depending on the plant’s origin. When roasted, they have a fruity aroma that is reminiscent of orange peel. Although coriander is traditional in Arabic cooking, as well as in southern Spain and Mexico, today it is used all around the world, adding a fresh and subtle hint to any dish. It goes perfectly with peppermint, ginger, and lemon in any recipe. What’s more, it is even used in tea thanks to its multiple benefits when it comes to treating digestive system disorders.
